I’m Natalie (some call me Nat) the face behind Jellypress.
I started my journey as a Graphic Designer straight from leaving High School in 1998 and have followed this path ever since. Working with various print companies over the years has given me invaluable knowledge of not just design but production and the importance of customer service.
My passion has always been stationery, even as a little girl, scouring the stationery shops for new paper, pads and pens. I carried my bumper pack of 100 felt tip pens to primary school everyday and loaned them to my classmates. Yes . . . I was THAT girl who made friends sign their name next to the colour on loan (I had a table chart and everything, tragic or efficient, you choose).
I like to think I’ve moved on a bit since then, and now love nothing more than seeking out new printing processes and sourcing the most amazing materials to influence and stimulate my creative process in producing invitations, cards and gifts for the many beautiful milestones we experience in life everyday that are worth commemorating and remembering in years to come.
Recent discoveries for me have been watercolour painting and calligraphy, how I wish I had found these earlier in life, they are my calm, my relaxation, my absolute quiet during downtime. Which as I get older I find more and more important in this hectic, fast paced world we live in.
Designer & Maker
As a lover of the outdoors, walking in the fresh air with my partner Mike and our Border Collie Lily, is where I’m at my happiest. I would be ecstatic if my teenage son joined us but he’s too old or dare I say cool for that now.
My favourite film is Coming to America and love all the 80’s classics. I’m an R’n’B girl at heart and once met Timbaland. My passion besides work is cooking, I love to cook for my friends and family, especially at Christmastime. Downside is that I will NEVER be skinny.
My inspirational female figures are Beyonce & Jennifer Lopez they are both amazingly multi-talented, strong and independent women.
My guilty pleasure is trashy TV, sometimes I just need to take my brain out for an hour and watch an episode of MIC or Housewives of Cheshire, my fave is Tanya – she’s hilarious.
Tennis ball obsessed, be aware of giving in to the doe eyes and throwing her the ball, she will never leave you alone.
Surprisingly loves carrots, sweet potatoes and suede.
Always happy to see you and welcomes you with wet kisses, bursting with energy.
Afraid of the hoover and ironing board (hey who isn’t).
Mike is my part-time production support when things get crazy and my full-time support network.
Always on hand to offer his expertise in print and production as well as taking me out for the occasional G&T when earned.
Jellypress began it’s journey in 2012. One evening I decided I wanted to be more creative, my day job was not fulfilling my creativity and so I set up a simple website offering a range of wedding stationery.
I soon gained fans which turned into customers who loved my work.
My confidence grew and I soon moved onto producing a greeting card range which in turn inspired me to opening an Etsy Shop along with supplying local gift shops.
I had no idea how my work would be received and was totally surprised when I was soon sending cards all over the world. There were lots of ‘eeks’ and ‘shreaks’ going on in our house at the time.
To become more self sufficient I invested in a laser cutter and my Etsy shop grew and grew. I began offering personalised wood and acrylic gifts/keepsakes. Christmastime soon became my favourite and craziest time of year. I love to hear of the joy and happiness my products bring to my customers.
Since Jellypress began, I had maintained a demanding full-time job as well as pursuing my dream and in November 2017, the dream finally became a reality.
I strive to continue to offer a diverse range of stationery, cards and gifts for special life events and so may it continue.
"The nicest invitations they have received"
Everything was great with the invitations, they were of very high quality and I have been complimented from many people on how they have been the nicest invitations they have received and I think that it has given everyone a great impression on how the wedding will be. The service with Jellypress was great and I was get up to date with the progress of the invitations throughout. I would definitely use again and recommend.
"Made my sister in law cry"
This was a lovely card, made my sister in law cry when she opened it and she has the little magnet to keep xxx
"Quality exceeded my expectations on all levels"
Jellypress prepared our Save The Date cards which exceeded my expectations on all levels. The quality of the cards were outstanding with high quality materials used yet charged at a reasonable price. Natalie provides a very personal service and has lots of ideas of her own to help your decision making along the way. We will most definitely be asking Jellypress to prepare our invites and wedding stationary in due course. Thank you Natalie for offering such a fantastic service for something so special to me.
